Ace Hotel – Not for One
Ace Hotel is a collection of international boutique hotels. Based in Seattle, Palm Springs, New York, Brooklyn, Kyoto, Sydney, Toronto and Athens.
Our team needed evergreen assets to focus on each hotel that pays tribute to the places and communities that bring the hotels to life.

The Core Idea
The campaign was based on the line, “Not for one but for everyone.” The imagery and video looks to highlight the restaurants, public art and lobby parties that are important to Ace.Handdone textures and motifs allow the campaign to feel grounded and like a patchwork of the places that make up the Ace Ecosystem.
Mineral
Mineral is an agriculture technology company backed by Google X’s incubator that hopes to use technology to embrace the complexity of nature and unlock agriculture’s data so the world can reimagine sustainable food production.

Photography Style
The photography demonstrates the complexity of ecosystems that Mineral embraces. The image bank is divided into three categories: macro, meso and micro: looking at the big picture, the fine details, and the beautiful in-between.
Layout Design
The underlying grid system based on ratios found in nature can flex from simple to complex to create texture, overlap and intrugue across various layouts.
Square Motion System
The Square motion system is based on the concept of 'open' and evokes a sense of intentional movement, which appeals to the need for transparency and trust. At its core, the distinct characteristics that define the system are hard cuts and smooth transitions. A true collaborative effort between the Squarea and Athletics team we used offset motion and shared momentum to create depth and continuity.

Activating the rounded frame used throughout the identity system is a strong way to draw parallels between static and motion design.Sequences
Each motion action reinforces the open concept and principles. These actions weave together to build stronger narratives through thoughtful pacing and ensures that each motion piece feels like a seamless story.
Type as voice
The activation of type is incredibly important within Square's motion system. Messaging carries the verbal identity and lends itself to more expressive and human moments.
Otto for Square
After my time at Athletics the team developed Otto, a powerful creative tool built for seamless motion outputs, embodying the fusion of data, technology, and human creativity.
Otto is a web application that provides a completely intuitive workflow accessible by Square anywhere in the world.
Ace Hotel Athens
Set along the Athens Riviera, cradled by the region’s cerulean seascape yet a short jaunt from the city core, Ace Hotel & Swim Club Athens stands as an overlapping expression of eras, landscape and local climate. The 120-room hotel’s design is influenced by Greek modernism’s naturalist bent and the classic charm of ’70s coastal resorts.
The in-house team at Atelier Ace designed a system to reflect the coast, the history and the modernist roots of the place and its surroundings.
